Getting Started

8 questions
How do I get started?

With the free body composition scan and report. It gives the team a full picture of where you are rather than a single number on a scale, and your plan is built from it. Book a consultation online or call the clinic on 480-307-9130.

What happens at the body scan?

The scan measures body composition rather than weight alone, so you can see muscle, fat and how they change over time. You leave with a report, and the team walks you through what it means and which options fit your goals.

Do I have to come into the clinic?

Not for everything. The body scan, ExoFreeze 2.0, ExoPod, LumaArc, X-Cool Cryo 360, EMShape, HydraFacial and skin tightening all happen at the Scottsdale clinic. Care that is prescribed runs through secure telehealth, and phone appointments are accepted when coming in is not practical.

Where are you and when are you open?

7425 E. Shea Blvd, Suite 112, in central Scottsdale, Arizona. Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm. Saturday, 8:00am to 3:00pm.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book a consultation directly.

How soon can I be seen?

Call the clinic on 480-307-9130 for current availability. Telehealth intakes are usually reviewed faster than an in-clinic appointment can be scheduled.

What should I bring to a first visit?

A list of any medications and supplements you take, and anything you already know about your health history. The more complete that is, the better the provider’s review will be.

Can I be treated if I live outside Arizona?

In-clinic services are only available at the Scottsdale location. For care prescribed online, your eligibility depends on the state you are physically in at the time of your visit, because a provider must be licensed there. Ask the clinic before you start.

Weight Management

12 questions
What weight management options do you offer?

Compounded Semaglutide, Compounded Tirzepatide, a low dose starting option, and the brand name medications Mounjaro, Zepbound and Ozempic when they are appropriate and available. Which of these is suitable is a clinical decision, not a menu choice. Treatment is prescription only. You complete a secure telehealth intake, a licensed provider reviews it, and it is prescribed only when it is medically appropriate for you. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

What is Compounded Semaglutide, and what does it cost?

A compounded preparation used in physician guided weight management, priced at $269. Compounded preparations are made by licensed compounding pharmacies. They are not FDA approved and they are not generic versions of brand name drugs. Treatment is prescription only. You complete a secure telehealth intake, a licensed provider reviews it, and it is prescribed only when it is medically appropriate for you. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

What is Compounded Tirzepatide, and what does it cost?

A compounded dual action preparation working on both the GLP-1 and GIP pathways, priced at $369.

What is the Micro-Dose option?

A lower dose starting point for people who would rather begin gently. Your provider decides whether it is a sensible place to start and when to review it. Treatment is prescription only. You complete a secure telehealth intake, a licensed provider reviews it, and it is prescribed only when it is medically appropriate for you. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

Do you prescribe Mounjaro?

Yes, when it is appropriate and available, at $1,390. Mounjaro is an FDA approved brand name product dispensed by a licensed pharmacy. Treatment is prescription only. You complete a secure telehealth intake, a licensed provider reviews it, and it is prescribed only when it is medically appropriate for you. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

Do you prescribe Zepbound?

Yes, when it is appropriate and available, at $1,299. Zepbound is an FDA approved brand name product dispensed by a licensed pharmacy. Treatment is prescription only. You complete a secure telehealth intake, a licensed provider reviews it, and it is prescribed only when it is medically appropriate for you. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

Do you prescribe Ozempic?

Yes, when it is appropriate and available, at $1,499. Ozempic is an FDA approved brand name product dispensed by a licensed pharmacy. Treatment is prescription only. You complete a secure telehealth intake, a licensed provider reviews it, and it is prescribed only when it is medically appropriate for you. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

Which option is right for me?

That is exactly what the consultation is for. Your scan, your history, your medications and your goals all feed into it, and the provider explains what each option involves and what it costs before anything starts.

Am I guaranteed a prescription?

No. A licensed provider reviews your intake and prescribes only when it is medically appropriate. If it is not appropriate, the team will tell you and talk through what else may help.

How is my dose decided and changed?

By your provider, based on your intake and how you are getting on. Never change a dose on your own. Talk to the clinic first so any change is made sensibly.

What side effects should I know about?

Every medication carries risks, and the common ones for this class include nausea, digestive upset and appetite changes. Your provider goes through the risks that apply to you, and the pharmacy supplies the full information with your prescription. Contact your provider about anything unexpected.

What if the treatment does not suit me?

Tell the clinic. Some things are adjusted, some are changed, and some are stopped. Call 480-307-9130 and the team will work it through with you rather than leaving you to guess.

Compounded and Brand Name

6 questions
What is the difference between compounded and brand name?

Brand name medications such as Mounjaro, Zepbound and Ozempic are FDA approved products made by their manufacturers and dispensed by a licensed pharmacy. Compounded preparations are made by licensed compounding pharmacies. They are not FDA approved and they are not generic versions of brand name drugs. Your provider explains which is appropriate for you and what each costs before you decide.

Are compounded medications FDA approved?

No. Compounded preparations are made by licensed compounding pharmacies. They are not FDA approved and they are not generic versions of brand name drugs. That is not a technicality, it is the honest answer, and any clinic that tells you otherwise is not one to trust.

Are compounded medications generic versions of the brand name drugs?

No. A generic is an approved copy of an approved drug. A compounded preparation is not that, and describing it as a generic would be wrong.

Which pharmacy fills my prescription?

A licensed pharmacy, selected for your prescription. The clinic confirms which one and how delivery works when your prescription is issued.

Why is the compounded option less expensive?

Different products, made differently, by different kinds of pharmacy. The price difference is not a discount on the brand name product and the two are not interchangeable.

Are Mounjaro, Zepbound and Ozempic your own products?

No. They are registered trademarks of their respective manufacturers. Nova is a clinic that may prescribe them when appropriate. No affiliation or endorsement is implied.

Peptides and Non-Prescription

6 questions
What are the GLP peptide options you list?

A small group of peptide protocols the clinic offers alongside its weight management care, including a metabolic and appetite support peptide, an intestinal support peptide, GLP-3 Simplex and Triple G. Which of them is suitable, if any, is decided at consultation.

What is Triple G?

A multi receptor peptide protocol. Whether it is appropriate for you depends on your review, and the team will explain what it does and does not do before anything begins.

What is GLP-3 Simplex?

A multi pathway peptide protocol offered alongside the clinic’s weight management options, discussed at consultation like everything else.

What is the GLP-2 peptide for?

It is described as intestinal support. It is not a weight loss product, and the team will tell you plainly whether it has any part to play in your plan.

What is in the non-prescription toolkit?

Options that do not need a prescription, for people who want to start somewhere other than medication. Statements about non-prescription products have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Have the non-prescription products been evaluated by the FDA?

Statements about non-prescription products have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. If you want something FDA approved, say so, and the team will tell you which options are.

In the Clinic

What is X-Cool Cryo 360?

Controlled cooling for non-invasive contouring, performed at the clinic. No prescription is needed.

What is EMShape?

An in-clinic body sculpting and muscle toning treatment. No prescription is needed.

What is a HydraFacial?

Do in-clinic services need a prescription?

No. The body scan, ExoFreeze 2.0, ExoPod, LumaArc, X-Cool Cryo 360, EMShape, HydraFacial and skin tightening are all non-prescription services.

How long does a session take?

It varies by service. The clinic gives you the time for your specific appointment when you book, so you can plan your day around it.

Is there downtime afterwards?

These are non-invasive services, and most people carry on with their day. Your provider tells you what to expect for the specific treatment before you have it.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no fixed number, and anyone who quotes you one without seeing you is guessing. The team recommends a plan after your scan and reviews it as you go.

Online Care and Ongoing Treatment

6 questions
How does the online visit work?

You complete a secure telehealth intake, a licensed provider reviews it, and you are contacted about next steps. Everything prescribed goes through that review.

Who reviews my intake?

A licensed provider, authorised to practise where you are at the time of your visit.

How is my medication delivered?

By the licensed pharmacy that fills your prescription. The clinic confirms the arrangement when your prescription is issued.

How do refills work?

Through your provider, as part of ongoing review rather than automatically. Contact the clinic before you run out so there is time to sort it.

Can I pause or stop treatment?

Yes. Talk to the team first so it is done sensibly, then call 480-307-9130 and it will be adjusted.

What do you do with my personal information?

The contact form on this site emails the clinic and stores nothing on the website. Clinical information you give during a telehealth intake is handled by the clinic and its telehealth provider. Please keep medical details out of ordinary email, which is not a secure medical channel.

Telemedicine, Your Provider and Your Pharmacy

12 questions
Who actually sees me when I book online?

A licensed clinician from Qualiphy PC, the independent telehealth medical group Nova works with. Its clinicians are physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. The one who reviews your intake is licensed in the state you are physically in at the time of your visit.

Is the clinician licensed in my state?

Yes. A clinician can only treat you if they hold a licence where you are at the time of the visit, which is why you are asked for your location before anything else.

Which states can I be treated in online?

48 states and Washington DC. Online care is not available in Alabama or Mississippi. In-clinic treatments are only available at the Scottsdale location.

Is the telehealth provider certified?

Qualiphy PC is LegitScript certified, which means it is independently reviewed and monitored for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Nova holds its own LegitScript certification.

Who decides whether I get a prescription?

The treating clinician, on clinical grounds, using the intake you complete. Nova does not direct that decision and cannot overrule it. Paying for a consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

Which pharmacy fills my prescription?

A licensed pharmacy. Depending on the treatment, the prescription either goes to a pharmacy you choose or to a pharmacy in the telehealth platform’s vetted network, which fills it and ships it to you. The clinic confirms which applies when your prescription is issued.

Can I use my own pharmacy?

For treatments that are sent electronically, yes. Ask before you start your intake, because some compounded preparations are only available through the pharmacies in the platform’s network.

Is Nova the pharmacy?

No. Nova is not a pharmacy and does not compound, manufacture or dispense medication. That is done by licensed pharmacies. Compounded preparations are made by licensed compounding pharmacies. They are not FDA approved and they are not generic versions of brand name drugs.

Do I have to do a video call?

Not always. Some visits are reviewed from the intake you submit, and some need a live video or telephone consultation. The clinician decides which your treatment requires.

What happens to my medical information?

It goes to the treating clinician and, where a prescription is written, to the dispensing pharmacy. It is protected under applicable law, including HIPAA where it applies. Please keep clinical detail out of ordinary email and text, which are not secure medical channels.

What if I am not approved for treatment?

You are not charged for the medication. The clinician will explain why, and the Nova team will go through what else may suit you, including options that need no prescription at all.

Who do I call about my prescription?

Start with the clinic on 480-307-9130. If the question is one only the treating clinician can answer, the team will route it through the telehealth platform rather than guess.

Paying for Care

2 questions
What does it cost, and do you offer financing?

Prices for the weight management medications are listed on their own pages. Everything else depends on the plan built from your scan, and it is explained in full before anything starts. There are no hidden fees. Nova accepts HSA and FSA cards and offers Cherry, Sunbit, CareCredit, Affirm and Aftercare, a buy now pay later option with no hard credit check.

Do you bill insurance?

Programme pricing is paid directly rather than billed to insurance. Nova does accept HSA and FSA cards for eligible wellness and weight management programmes.
